Cheeni Paratha(Sweet Paratha)

This is a very easy, yummy and quick dish for all who love sweets..U can have it as breakfast or even as snacks..Kids also love this...This is my childhood favorite from my Mom's Kitchen...My hubby and son also love to have this any time..:-)




Sharing my childhood love with U all to try out..:-)

Ingredients :-


  1. Wheat Flour - 2 cups
  2. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee/Refined Oil
  4. Salt to taste



Method :-


  1. Make a smooth dough by kneading wheat flour with water and salt to taste.
  2. Keep aside for 10 min.
  3. Take a portion from the dough and place on a lightly floured flat surface and flatten it a little by using rolling pin.
  4. Place half a spoon of sugar on it and fold in half.
  5. Apply little oil on the surface of the folded paratha, and fold in half again to make a small triangle.
  6. Roll this triangle to a larger triangle, dusting with flour as required.
  7. Heat the tawa in medium-low flame for 5-7 min, then turn it to low.
  8. Place the triangular paratha on it, flip the paratha after 1 min and brush the top with oil/ghee.
  9. Flip it again and brush this side with oil/ghee too..Cook by flipping it over until golden brown.
  10. This whole process will take 2-3 min.
  11. Cook all the remaining parathas in the same way.
  12. Serve hot and enjoy............:-)
